Sarah Holland-Villa
Thermography Technician
Sarah is a BHS Senior Coach, Qualified Equine Body Worker and a Bit and Bridle Fitter. She is a Student Teacher with Phillipe Karl’s School of Legerete - Foundation Instructors Course.
Sarah has worked with horses for over 35 years. When she was younger, she competed in Eventing and Show Jumping. In the last 20 years Sarah has focused on dressage competing to PSG level, she trained at the TTT, training with top international classical trainers. She now uses French Classical training methods.
Having experienced injuries in her own horses and when dealing with client’s horses, Sarah became very interested in lameness and poor performance issues and how these could possibly be avoided and identified as soon as possible. This led to her interest in Thermography. Sarah trained with SyncThermology and later worked with Vet-IR for 5 years before launching Equine Performance Thermography with Dr Kate Granshaw in August 2023.
Dr Kate Granshaw

Kate graduated from the RVC with Honours in 2007 and then completed an internship in Essex before joining Lingfield Equine Vets as an assistant in 2008, becoming a Partner in 2015.

She is a dual certificated Advanced Veterinary Practitioner in both internal medicine and orthopaedics and surgery and particularly enjoys all aspects of sports horse medicine, lameness and poor performance.
Kate is an FEI Permitted Treating Vet, an FEI Official Veterinarian for Eventing and was appointed as Chief Veterinarian at the South of England Showground in 2019. She trained as an interpreting vet for thermography 5-years ago and founded Equine Performance Thermography with Sarah in 2023 after extensively testing the core heat extraction technique on real life cases. She also regularly provides educational talks for local riding clubs and training days for horse owners.
In her spare time, when she isn’t officiating at various events around the South East, she can often be found exploring the countryside with her young family or spending time with her rescue spaniel Bella or her dressage horse Galaxy.
